Just another rambling and fangirling blog 🤭.
metalhead ~ Tea & cookies lover ~ loves anime, manga, fiction ~ favorites genres include: horror, mystery, crime, drama, action, comedy ~ Yay, I actually finally graduated.
rarepairs r so funny because you’ll be part of the rarepair group n you’ll be like. okay but look at all this stuff that makes them make sense and from the outside you look like youre holding a conspiracy board with dots and string n everyone is like ohh wow.. okay…. umm.. if u say so…. but when youre IN the rarepair group youre like no listen look. its obvious. look at this. look. there are famous ships with less substance than this
Like seriously, I don’t ship any rarepairs myself, nut I read some fanfics so well-written I almost fucking got converted lmao. Like literally, one was unrequited platonic Moonspirit!Yue x Ozai (who ends up redeemed, Yue not being love with him), & it was so good. Damn. We love you unicornpairs folks. You give us fucking variety in fandom.

NEED!
Twitter OP is the one making them, by the way.
They’re currently out of stock because it’s a small business but they’re going to be restocked soon!

azula design ✨
Fanfic recommendation :
“Long Intervals of Horrible Sanity” by CaptainLaserBeam
In an alternare universe where the fire nation won, Ozai leaves Azula as a broken puppet fire lord to be the Phoenix King. Truly alone and forgotten by the only person she had left, and plagued with her hallucinations, she decides to recreate a family for herself…
PS: I am not the author. Just to make sure it’s clear.
Another calm and happy Zuko (Fire Nation
Edition)
Süleyman is as lenient with Mustafa Pasha who supposedly cheated on Fatma Sultan as he was with Ibrahim. To cheat on a Sultana is nothing, apparently.
Why did Daye and Valide die again??
I think it’s because of period typical sexism & himself having a whole ass harem, though I would’ve expected him to be harsher if only because the sultanas represent the dynasty and their husbands are waaaay beneath them in the hierarchy. It seems that personal offenses against him are where he draws the line.
Ibrahim: Men’s weapons are obvious, women are more dangerous blah blah
Şah Sultan: Then stay away from women Ibrahim.
Ibrahim: 😑
The best comeback in MC.
Not someone on Twitter telling someone else that they are “tasteless” for finding Nigar Kalfa attractive
Imo, she’s pretty in that girl next door way, kind of understated compared to Mahidevran, Hürrem, and other beauties of the show. Might also be because she isn’t as sophisticated (clothes + makeup), by virtue of her station as a servant/kalfa, compared to the sultanas.
It’s a very particular appeal that not everyone gets. I think slightly thicker eyebrows would’ve boostef her looks.
Even if the part where it said she deserved to die got deleted, Tv Tropes is still a bit opinionated about Nigar
If by “disposing of her” you mean “killing her” that’s not canon. I think it is ultimately clear that Ibrahim, as horrible as he is, didn’t intend to kill Nigar in Episode 58.
Also “truly loves another woman”. I mean, I can’t begrudge this because the show itself tries to sell this, but really?
Idk abt Ibrahim wanting or not to off Nigar (haven’t watched the whole show), but I refuse to believe that he “truly loves” Hatice. My man loves his ego and both women reflect things he wants to have, but doesn’t -ultimately-. Hatice is his way out to a better life as a pasha and damad (husband of a sultana) as well as a link to the sultan. He is with her for the power, but in this relationship, he feels emasculated as the lesser party, because he still is a slave. Nigar is his breath of fresh air as a normal woman who doesn’t act elitist, and whom he feels he can control as a man (typical misogyny of that era, not that Hatice’s blood sultana entitlement is helping in any way lol). A very dangerous game dictated by his growing ego which will bring the end of him when Suleiman starts feeling threatened by him.
Just my 2 cents, I might be wrong, but this is how I see it. 🤷🏻♀️.
I did see Nigar & Hatice’s confrontation. I think that maybe it’s the pent up frustration from her subservient condition as a Kalfa which made her particularly defiant. (?)
